The vision-boarding aspect of the workshop is a silent activity (with no-lyrics music in the background supporting a dreamy experience) that takes a good 3 hours of the day, making space for each participant to get in the zone and play with images and feelings that allow authentic expression.
It's not an art project, though it invites and allows your artistic self to come out and play. It also provides a sort of right-brain bath that's fun and absorbing and supports your thinking self to Get Out of the Way. What isn't all thought-out and understood can reveal itself, symbols can sneak in, colors and themes can surprise you, and much more.
You'll gain the most if you love the process and let go of what product will come of it. I invite you to drop your ideas of vision-boarding and come in fresh to see what can happen. I invite you to organize your image- and word-hunting around what calls to you and feels good, and to drop an agenda of expressing goals for the year or for your life pictorially or of seeking to somehow represent all aspects of who you are or want to be in your becoming. What you need to have on your board will make its way there—and just may take you to unexpected places.
This intentional collage almost always yields a great sense of satisfaction, plus something to look at to keep alive that sense of being on-track and aligned with your own evolution and what you next want to step into and/or move toward. Return to visioning workshop page. |
